I find it compelling, don’t you – how specific God is in concerning His plan for each of our lives. I realize there may be times when it appears that God is vague and cryptic, but I’ve come to believe, God’s communication skills are not the issue. The failure to hear God’s plan lies with the individual. We hear but don’t believe it, and we don’t hear because we don’t listen. The point is, God created each of us as unique, one of a kind individuals, and He did so for a purpose. The same is true for us as it was for the prophet Jeremiah when God called him. God said to Jeremiah, “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you” (Jer.1:5).
I believe that God, who created us, will show us; He will direct us as we, in faith, seek Him. The critical question we need to continually ask ourselves is, “Am I seeking God’s will for my life?”
I have found that when I pursue God with passion, my sense of purpose and direction is clear, but when I seek to live according to my selfish agenda, that sense of purpose becomes less clear, and the course less specific.
To know that you’ve been created, uniquely designed by God, for a purpose and that He who created you will also direct you, is a powerful truth that can transform our lives from one of aimless wandering to one of focused and purposeful action!
SO BE STILL, LISTEN TO AND OBEY GOD, AND AS A RESULT EXPERIENCE THE CONFIDENCE THAT COMES FROM KNOWING GOD HAS A SPECIFIC PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE!
